By Dennis Harrington, signed on side and numbered 45/50. Rendering of bear sitting casually on bronze square. Dennis Harrington was born and raised in Bozeman, Montana. Initially, Harrington wanted to be an Air Force pilot but an elective art class drastically changed his perspective and he enrolled in the Seattle Art Institute. Harrington studied illustration and didn’t begin using clay until a few years past graduation. Sculpting the west became a full time profession for him in 1990. "Guardian Spirit" is Harrington's first notable bronze and is on display at Bozeman’s Gallatin Airport. This bronze is on a 4 1/4" squared wood stand; sculpture and stand measure 7 1/2" tall.
